the Children of NYX, performance

I sleep, I wake up, I sleep, and I never wake up again.

it was as if death was a long sleep, and irreversible sleep was a realm to be known between life and death. every day you go and go, and then come back. nyx’s children, sleep, and death. two close-knit siblings, return to earth in search of home.

the first part of this performance was an audio choreography experience at Boğaziçi university, the participant’s thoughts were collected after the experience and the second part of the performance was realized by Aslı and Esma Akın. the second improvised jam session of the series was held again in Bina. musicians from different styles and experience levels found a space to create together by engaging their interpretations.

… figures from the underground scene of İstanbul since they continue to do their music despite all political pressure on the entertainment life. Both collaborating and making parties full of music and dance. we celebrate the delight of life against violence.

… the second jam session in the Bina, as a continuous part of the first one in Eksibir.
